Our Sales and Marketing Intern will work closely with our Sales and Marketing team, learning about and participating in the sales cycle in the telecom industry. They will assist with company marketing initiatives including event planning, content writing, and business networking.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES (includes but may not be limited to the following):

  • Learn and apply company sales processes with new and existing clients
  • Learn and apply a rudimentary understanding of how VoIP phone systems function and benefit the client
  • Perform onsite demos of our system (alongside our seasoned sales representatives)
  • Attend networking events—tradeshows, lunches, referral groups, etc.
  • Assist in the planning of TeleVoIPs partner events
  • Contribute to company marketing content—blog and social media posts, print and web collateral
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • Come to the job with at least a high-school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license
  • Completed college courses in marketing, business development, and/or information technology preferred
  • Include at least two previous experiences relating to the skills required for this position in your cover letter or introductory email


  • Have an enthusiastic, positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills

  • Be a superstar when it comes to meeting with prospective clients and partners (also called “excellent verbal communication skills”)
  • Understand basic computer programs and software (including but not limited to Microsoft Office and Outlook)

  • Enjoy meeting new people and conducting service- and product-driven conversations
  • Be willing and able to travel when necessary (to client sites in the Tampa area, or to local networking events)


  • Driving to and from client offices in the Tampa area
  • Sitting or standing for extended period of time
  • Lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Working in a well lit, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation
  • Using manual dexterity sufficient to handle/reach items and work with hands
  • Using close/distance/peripheral and depth perception to work on a computer
