Grant Baxley, Infinity Computer Solutions President and CEO, knows firsthand the challenges of being an entrepreneur. So it’s important for him to support future entrepreneurs— especially undergraduate students at the University of South Florida College of Business.
Every semester USF students enrolled in a business capstone class review a case study on Infinity Computer Solutions. And for the third semester in a row, the case study was a success. The professor said it was the “highest rated of all the classes discussions” so far this year and that the students “loved it.”
Case studies are a large part of most business school programs. In this 23-page case study, USF students were expected to scrutinize and prepare to discuss strategies for how Infinity Computer Solutions would go about hiring new staff to take its Tampa-based IT services business to the next level.
Baxley participated in the class as nearly 50 students worked diligently to answer pre-case questions which they submitted to their professor. Afterwards, each student had to prepare and submit post-case study reflections.
Baxley received all of the students’ notes to review and was pleased by their research, enthusiasm and insight. In fact, at least one student came in for an interview with ICS shortly after the case study was complete.
