VoIP Phone Features

Voice over Internet Protocol, or VoIP phone systems are no longer the alternative platform for communication, they are the new standard. For flexibility, functionality, and cost savings this is the telephone infrastructure solution for onsite employees and virtual workforces across the globe.

While we customize Hosted Voice, Voice Over IP, and cloud systems that are scalable to changing needs, VoIP phones offer features that have a positive impact on your operation.

Some of our favorite VoIP features for small businesses include: Dial-by-Name Directory, Visual Receptionist, Coaching Tools, and Voicemail to Email.

  • Dial-by-Name Directory is an automatic greeter that allows clients to choose the employee they wish to be connected with right away. The caller simply dials the name of the employee, and their call is directed automatically.
  • Visual Receptionist offers a web based control panel that facilitates call transfers direct to extension, to voicemail, to an external number. It is a virtual dashboard that provides at-a-glance insight into the operation.
  • Coaching Tools allow supervisors or managers to guide their employees through a phone call with a customer. Unbeknownst to the caller, the supervisor is able to provide notes and tips to the employee to provide quality customer service and real-time training.
  • Voicemail to Email is a flexible feature that sends voicemails both to the phone, and as a WAV file to the user’s email account. The WAV files can be easily retrieved and played back on mobile devices.

These are only four of the myriad ways a VoIP phone system’s integrative features can support a productive workforce.
