We know writing your phone greetings from scratch can be difficult. We've provided a few examples below to help you get started with crafting the perfect messages for your new business phone system.

Daytime IVR

Thank you for calling TeleVoIPs, where we provide superior communication services so your business can accomplish more. (If recording calls) Your call may be recorded for quality assurance purposes. If you know your party’s extension, you may dial it any time. For a dial-by-name directory, press four. To reach our sales team, please press one. For technical support, press two. For billing or administrative assistance, press three. For all other calls, press zero.

Afterhours IVR

Thank you for calling TeleVoIPs, where we provide superior communication services so your business can accomplish more. If this is an emergency, please leave a detailed message by pressing nine and one of our technicians will return your call. You may also email [email protected] to generate a support ticket. For sales inquiries, please press two to leave a message and your call will be returned the next business day. For all other calls, please press zero to leave a voicemail.

General Daytime Voicemail

(We highly recommend having this recording done by a professional as it should combine hold music and a looped recording similar to the one below)

How to Record Your Greetings

You may use your TeleVoIPs Softphone mobile app or your desk phone to record any of the above messages for your new phone system.

  1. If using the TeleVoIPs Softphone, open the app and select the dialer option.
  2. Dial * and then your extension number.
  3. Record your message.
  4. Hang up.
  5. Listen to message for correctness. Record again if needed.
  6. Check your email--you will receive a .wav file of your recording. Ensure it is the correct one and email to our support team at [email protected] along with information on what the message should be used for.
